Designed by Beth Shirrell, a recent grad from Tyler School of Art, designed Kalakari as part of her MFA. It also won first place in the AIGA Center for Cross-Cultural Design Competition. This ornamental display face takes inspiration from Hindi architecture and the art of henna.

Kalakari translates from Hindi to English to mean ornamentation

    It is elegantly fancy to me. I am sure some of the design in it has specific meanings.
