Shaping Up Marua

After a brief hiatus from design outside of work, I’m back with some updates to Marua. I think she’s shaping up rather nicely, but of course still needs some touchups. I’m almost to point where I feel comfortable designing support materials for the exhibition. As things get produced I’ll make sure to post updates.

I think there’s enough promise for Marua that I’ll be including a couple weights and an italic. These additions are probably a few months away, but plan on it.

As soon as Marua is ready I will be ready to publish all of my word documents in your font.

Arlo, I especially like my initials in Maura.

What is the purpose of the two different lower case “a”s?

    Mom–
I’m flattered that you like it that much. You’ll definitely be getting a copy.

    Kent–
I’ll admit that the R and K are two of my favorite letters. The lowercase a,g, and q have stylistic alternates—mostly just for personal preference.

I like how you used an excerpt from “Atlas Shrugged”. Nice touch. Only, you should maybe check it for spelling errors again before you display it… (here=her, etc).

I reviewed it earlier today and noticed the same thing. Please find a new/updated version. I modified some other things also.

Arlo, great typeface. How can I purchase Marua?
